Before we get to the Xena Links, THIS
IS IMPORTANT
This
website gathers donations for ecological causes by counting clicks - you
can click on each "cause" once a day, every day - and I suggest you do!!!!
As a parent, I am deeply offended that there are people in the world who
feel we will just "have to get used to" the idea that some parts of the
planet will be killed forever, simply so some dip can drive an SUV to try
to impress chicks (or the other soccer moms, or whatever non-offroading
purpose a person may have for buying those wasteful pieces of junk).
This is just like the Ecology Fund site. You can donate by clicking
daily. There are a bunch of affiliated sites, be sure you click all
the tabs along the top and get 'em all. This one is my personal homepage,
so I don't forget.
This
one is soooooo cool. SETI - the people who use radio telescopes to
look for signals out in space that might indicate intelligent life, like
in the movie Contact, but not necessarily with all the god stuff, anyway,
they have this really cool screensaver you can download. The thing
is this: All of the data collected from all those radio telescopes
adds up to a whole humongous pile of information. And, no, listening
on a pair of earphones isn't how it works. They need computer power
to sort all that data, and the more computers that can help, the faster
(heh) we'll weed through all of it. The screen saver that you can
download is actually software for sorting this information, which will
call in and get a packet of information from these telescopes, that your
computer will then work on processing, when you're not using it.
Kind of a cool graphic, and make sure you read the license info.
They also request an email address from you, so that "if you discover ET,
we can let you know." Anyway, the link to download the software is
right there at the top of the page. Go get it.
Here, let me step down off this soapbox. Back to our regularly scheduled fannishness:
These are merely the highlights of all the incredibly wonderful Xena resources out there, oriented of course towards picture folks, like me! It by no means is a complete list, and in fact, for the sake of brevity I'm snubbing many close friends from the newsgroup (please don't hate me!). If you would like to see more work from the Alt.Binaries.Multimedia.Xena-Herc newsgroup, go to Mike's Xena page, like it says below, for his is the most masterful resource. And why sweat when I can refer, right? My two year old already knows how to say, "Mommy Lazy". [grin]
Whoosh - an online Xena, Warrior
Princess/Hercules, The Legendary Journeys fan magazine, or as they put
it, the online version of The
Journal of the International Association of Xena Studies.
Mike's Xena Wallpapers -
the godliest collection of Xena wallpapers, and the godliest of screen
cappers! I love him for his analness! Mike also has a
page with links to the various people that do excellent walls that
have websites. There are too many for me to list here, so, go visit
his ABMX-H page
to see more. Go there now!
Xena Image
Archive - Dan Unruh is in Germany, and is another most high in the
pantheon of screen cappers. Go and pay homage. His main page
is
here.
Forest Spirit's site - screen caps (few now, but growing), as well as scans of photos and all kinds of other stuff.
SherrieB's XenaRulz site - Sherrie is an artist, and an excellent scanner.
WarGoddess's Kevin Smith page - lots of neato shots from conventions and other projects Kev has done.
Tane Millennium is my hero. He is a mega artist. Go look at his stuff.
Artemis can be found in her own domain: http://www.xenaholic.com/
Xenite.org is the place to go for more links than you could ever follow (in one sitting).
Creation Entertainment, as much as I curse their name myself, is THE place to go for gewgaws, doodads, and news on when you might get to be in the same room as some of the stars at a convention.
Oh, and, because I am weak, I have started a LiveJournal blog thingy.

If you use banners on your links page, feel free to grab one of mine, and slap it up there!
