Attention Bloggers, Forum makers, and all Background seekers!
God, I really, really, really hate to do this, but apparently I'm moderately popular enough to demand it.
If you want to use any of the images in the Xena Wing as a background or anywhere else on your webpage, you may, BUT:
Do not link to the image.  Save it on your own server.  You must give me credit, and refer back to this site.  DO NOT put your own copyright on it.
If these requests are not honored, you may abruptly find that your background has turned into a profanity-laden rant against people who steal others' work.

Sorry, folks, but I'm getting tired of having to check my recent visitors list all the time.  Bandwidth costs money, ok?

Star Pirate Xena Meleager Reluctant Warrior I Reluctant Warriror II
Weak title, and I'm not super-happy with it - the shadows are wrong, and I was just making it worse when I tried to fix it.  Oh well, still cool. I love the way this turned out.  Meleager is one of my favorite bit part characters, I'm not sure why.  He's an actual hero - he was an Argonaut. I got the idea for doing this from an effect I accidentally stumbled across in another wall , and really liked. And then, along the way, I got this effect on the main Gabrielle shot, and had to keep it, I like it so much.
Matisse Nordic Overshadowed XTC
"Artists" night.  I quite like this one.  I added the big flower wallpaper, since that seems to be a requirement for a Matisse. This was inspired by an ad I saw in TV Guide, of all places.  I think it was for the new Alanis Morisette cd. This was another "Show Your Stuff" night - where we had to make walls from supplied images.  After Kev Smith died, it took me a month to start doing wallpapers again. I have mentioned that this is my absolutely favorite look for Xena, right?  No?  Well, it is.  And I couldn't believe I'd never noticed the initials before.
Claire Morrigan China Landscape
I wanted to do a simple character wall, and I resolved to do a set with characters I don't usually work with. This one was an utter accident, but boy did it turn out good!  I am inordinately proud of this. The mountains in China are especially beautiful in my eyes.  Add a beautiful woman, and voila'. Just a simple, calm picture, with plenty of room for your desktop icons.  And, of course, my favorite shot.
Etherial Know Thyself Loss of Innocence Mike's Vakyrie
It occurs to me that I've used this title for two walls of Gabby.  Must be something about Renee.  [smile]  This is another Royo picture "fake". The moment that Gabrielle realizes that revenge and hate is unsufficient motivation to become a murderer, even though it might cost her her life.  I'm very proud of this. "First and Last" theme night - the idea was to rework a very old wall, at least how I interpreted it.  I chose to rework the second wall I ever posted, which I am still very happy with, I think it's very effective.  And this is the re-work.  I only re-used the base picture, but again, I think it's quite effective.  The feeling of utter violation and loss.  And after working on the Loss Of Innocence wall, which made me nauseous, I needed to do something lighter.  So I made this for Mike Quick, a BIG Valkyrie fan.
Friends Sword Symphony The True King Queen
For "Evolution" theme night.  I think I'm still the only person who uses the Young Herc pictures with any frequency, despite having very few.  The shots are from:  Young Hercules, one of the first movies, and the final episode. "Swords" night - my mandala fetish is showing.  I feel really bad, because when I posted this, I offered the four as separate walls if anyone wanted them, but by the time I got a bunch of yes's I had lost the files.  Fooh. My last "Swords" night entry.  Hopefully I didn't piss off any purists - but then, I guess this episode would have done that all on its own.  Great sword. An official request for wallpapers of this actress was passed along by a friend.
